Global Parks/sanctuaries
In honor of our National Parks Service’s 100th
birthday, I propose a plan to expand the boarders onto a global scale.
Accompanied with the U.N., my company will offer acres of land in each country
where no hunting, fishing, or any activities that could cause harm to the
balance of nature. Although not every country may be able to cooperate,
conserving nature, animals and the general upkeep of the planet is important to
everyone, no matter race or country.
Competition:
The IUCN World Parks Congress is a group that helps protect
and conserve our planet. This group is based out of Australia and do not
advertise much in the states. This seems like a great group but they have not
achieved any of my company’s goals, for example, creating a boundary in sacred
forests and jungles. Besides this group I could not find any other competition
on a global scale. There are many activist groups and small conservation
companies but their reach is only within their own country
I like the idea. I do wonder could your campaign include man made Parks/sanctuaries, possible floating. But I do suggest sharing the competition campaigns. I am interested in what Photos editing will be done.
ReplyDeleteKat – I wonder what your product or service is here? I’m not sure you have one, yet. Maybe that is why you can’t find competitors. Another way to think about this is “what is your client selling?”
ReplyDeleteLaunching a company that conserves land is an excellent idea for the future. Currently there are lots of non-profits that do this, but they don’t advertise themselves in the same way a privately held business would, because they seek money in other ways… from individual donors to state-sponsored programs.
So… we have to think about what your company will do with the land, to generate profits that can be re-invested in the future purchasing of land. That would be how a sustainable financial plan could be devised. The more land, the more profit… if the land itself was used to generate the cash.
So… how can your company use the land to offer a service to a certain audience? Obviously it would need to not harm the land and its inhabitants.
One issue that I’ve read about lately is a problem called nature-deficit disorder. Many many children, around the world but especially here, are growing up in a way that is very separate from nature. Spending so little time in the woods, these children suffer from a lack of imagination, a lack of self-reliance, and other behavior issues. Google it to learn more.
Could you offer family vacation packages to the “wildness” of nature? Could you devise a youth-based program – like summer camp in the deep wilds of Africa?
That is just one idea for a profit-based company that would be involved in conserving land. There must be many.
Class? Any ideas?
I can't think of much to add beyond the other comments. Though I agree that this, though a great idea, would be hard to sell as a service. Protecting the planet you live on should be second nature but for some people it just isn't worth the money. Well done.
