Carl – These are coming along! You need a central figure in #1 (yes, you really do for this to be a complete series). As I look at them all, I realize that the colors and blending of #2 do not obscure the important elements yet create a pretty sophisticated composition. The layer with the multi-colored texture is adding some great color to this. Could you reuse that layer in the other images? You can change the colors themselves, but the texture might help add interest and help unite the 3 images into the series.
So – returning to #1, I wonder if all you need is an avalanche and stumbling skier blended with a central figure? It seems like you’ve moved past the concept that would mean you are using the group of mountain climbers. (I know you spent a lot of time on that, and sometimes it’s hard to let all that work go… but for the sake of the composition, you may need to begin again and blend just the elements that support your concept.)
#3 central figure needs to be silhouetted more accurately (why leave a white feathered glow around her?) and I’m wondering whether traffic lights and airplanes add up to a moment in her life that she needs to Do Over? Where is the catastrophe?

Looking forward to seeing what you do next!
I opened these in the wrong order, I like where you go with the third image.
