  1. Carl – some interesting things happening here! I like that you have added snow to the mountaineers, but am wondering why you have left a few shapes of the campsite… better to eliminate these? I still think you need to add into the composition some tumbling climbers and mixing/blending the 2 images will give us the idea that either one could be the result of this endeavor. I wonder if you look for extreme skiers or snowboarders you will find the positions that could be incorporated into this to show a disaster was happening. Once you have more elements in this, you need to start playing with the size and position of the elements in relation to each other. Start looking at shapes… and they way the abstract areas come together and overlap.

Your new idea has good potential. It will important that you find ways to blend the elements together rather than stack them or place them behind his head. Currently his head is simply sitting on top of the various elements… instead silhouette the elements you need, masking out the backgrounds…so when these are combined they don’t appear like they have been “cut out” for use in a collage (example: man and child in lower right… he is missing the top of his head!). Only keep the elements you need for your message, and blend the shapes, rather than crop them out.

Keep on working – great starts.

  2. I think the second one down is the best fitting one personally. The white in the top one stands out a lot and i think the blue tint is easier on the eyes. The concept is good its clear and to the point short and sweet sort of speak.

  3. Well done! I think the second one is also my favorite, though I didn't see the clock at first due to the mountain. Could it be more prominent? Layered over the mountain? If it doesn't work then feel free to change it back.
