Finally! Ad 1 Image, Soleil Paint
So I finally found a format that it would except. This is what I have so far. I plan to continue adding electricity to all of the cables and was thinking of adding it to the bridges structure. I am also playing with the idea of adding a paint brush onto this, to make it look as if the electricity is being painted on. What do you guys think?

Connie – yes, more glowing, sparking surfaces please. Think about the beauty of fireworks at night – which we all love to look at (and experience). Your paint will allow all surfaces to play a role in the production of energy – so with that awareness you can decide which surfaces will glow, which will spark, and which will actually throw arcs of energy into the sky!
ReplyDeleteIt might be best to leave off the headline for now and just create a composition that is alive with energy, light, and excitement. Have fun and go overboard – and don’t forget that the water should/could reflect all those radiating streams of light.
Question: I’m not sure I understand the decision to use purple glow for the bridge wires, but it may be too early in the process to take issue with that. I will suggest, however, that what you don’t necessarily want to have happen is for the arcing lights to completely cover over the suspension lines. Maybe the wires should simply glow, while the larger surfaces of the bridge can hold the arcing and jumping lights.
Can’t wait to see how this progresses! PS. Don’t forget the sparkle brush we made and used in the first Bada$$ workshop. This is a technique that could really help you.
I think the idea of the electricity running through the bridge will definitely be better communicated if the effect interacts with surroundings. I also think the color purple might be a little odd, I'm sure you got the image from lightning or something. Maybe blue or a white-ish yellow would remind us of electricity more easily.
ReplyDeleteIt’s an awesome concept here I think, I do have to agree with making it less purple and more blue, rather. Other than that and the already pointed out reflection in the water, I think it’s a good idea for the image.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And more electricity could only make things better.
